Alignment and Adjustment of Telescopic Belt Conveyor
This section provides a comprehensive overview of the alignment and adjustment process for a three-section telescopic belt conveyor. Other telescopic belt conveyors should refer to the adjustment procedures outlined for the three-section telescopic belt conveyor.

Belt deviation is a common issue in telescopic belt conveyors and is directly related to the equipment’s processing precision, installation accuracy, and debugging.
Belt Adjustment:
The adjustment of rollers follows the principle of not allowing multiple individuals to adjust simultaneously. In the case of bidirectional conveyors, one direction should be adjusted first, followed by the adjustment of the other direction. During adjustment, careful observation of the belt’s movement direction and deviation tendencies is essential, addressing each aspect sequentially. Emphasis should be placed on adjusting the reversing drums, followed by adjustments to the tensioning drum and support rollers. Additionally, the material discharge point should be considered, as it can also impact belt deviation. Belt adjustment should be carried out in at least three positions: fully retracted, halfway extended, and fully extended.
The following outlines two common scenarios of belt deviation and their corresponding adjustments:
Belt Deviation to the Right (Loading):
- 1. Adjust Reversing Drum 4 to move to the right.
- 2. Adjust Reversing Drum 5 to move to the right.
- 3. Adjust Reversing Drum 3 to move to the right.
- 4. Adjust Reversing Drum 10 to move forward on the right.
- 5. Adjust Reversing Drum 9 to move forward on the right.
- 6. Adjust Reversing Drum 8 to move forward on the right.
- 7. Adjust Reversing Drum 2 to move to the right.
- 8. Adjust Adjustable Support Roller 7 to move forward on the right.
- 9. Adjust Adjustable Support Roller 11 to move to the right.
Note: The adjustment should prioritize the roller causing the deviation. Observe the belt’s movement after each adjustment step. Once the normal operation is restored, cease adjustment. Reverse the belt and repeat the process until the belt no longer deviates. Repeat these steps at half and fully-extended positions.
Belt Deviation to the Left (Loading):
- 1. Adjust Reversing Drum 4 to move to the left.
- 2. Adjust Reversing Drum 5 to move to the left.
- 3. Adjust Reversing Drum 3 to move to the left.
- 4. Adjust Reversing Drum 10 to move forward on the left.
- 5. Adjust Reversing Drum 9 to move forward on the left.
- 6. Adjust Reversing Drum 8 to move forward on the left.
- 7. Adjust Reversing Drum 2 to move to the left.
- 8. Adjust Adjustable Support Roller 7 to move forward on the left.
- 9. Adjust Adjustable Support Roller 11 to move backward on the left.
Adjusting telescopic belt conveyor belt deviation is a complex process that requires patience and multiple iterations. It is crucial not to force the usage of the conveyor when deviation occurs, as it may lead to belt damage.
